Who can become a member of the Fashion Association of SVG

Types of FASVG Membership

• Individual/Ordinary

• Associate

• Student
   

Membership Requirements

 

For Individual/Ordinary Membership

• Individuals over the age of eighteen years of age or a company

• Have a vested interest in the vision and mission of the FASVG

• A citizen of St. Vincent and the Grenadines or a CARICOM Member Country with a commercial presence in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

• Have manufacturing capabilities/capacity

• Be registered entity or company or in the process of registering in St. Vincent and the Grenadines with CIPO as a Company or a registered Business name; 

• Be designing, producing, retailing/wholesaling their own product, whether the product be garment/apparel, textile, footwear, jewelry handbags or otherwise a fashion accessory

• Have created at least one collection within the past two years

For Associate Membership

• Must be a registered business or business name for at least one(1)year with CIPO

• Must have presented a portfolio of a collection or have shown a collection of their own product whether the product be textile, footwear, jewelry, handbags, hats or otherwise a fashion accessory

• Designed, produced, retailed or wholesaled a collection of their own product whether the product be textile, footwear jewelry, handbags or otherwise a fashion accessory, or

• Been a graduate of a recognized fashion institution or

• Been engaged in a business similar to or associated with that of an Individual Member but is not otherwise eligible for Individual Membership of the Association and

• Must fall within the following categories with an active and proven practice, not less than one (1) year preceding the application, in the following areas:

1. Fashion Photography

2. Modelling (Whether runway or print)

3. Hair and Make-up Artistry

4. Sound and light engineering for stage presentations for fashion shows

5. Fashion Journalism

6. Production and Stage Design

7. Fashion Event Management

8. Pattern Drafters and other Fashion Technicians

9. Fashion Illustrators

10. Fashion Music Coordinators

11. Fashion Branding and Marketing Professionals

12. Stylists and Image Consultants

13. Retailers who have promoted and sold materially supported the work of Individual or Associate Members

14. A Private registered establishment dedicated to the teaching of fashion

15. Other industry related practitioners who provide a product or service that adds to the industry's value chain

For Student Membership

Must be currently enrolled in a recognized fashion or art & design course, in a University, College or Technical Institute or any government assisted/funded programme with special emphasis on fashion or the fundamentals of clothes construction and /or manufacture.

Membership Fees

• Individual, Ordinary & Associate - $120/year

• Student - $60/year
  *Bi-annual payment plan option available

• Exclusive access to fashion and design related events, funding and initiatives locally, regionally and internationally

• Access to discounted rates and offers for FASVG and stakeholder events, activities, training and workshops

• Added to our FASVG directory of designers that will be made available to local and regional stakeholders

Fees are not payable until after membership is confirmed.
